FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this course suitable for complete beginners?

Absolutely. The course starts from the very basics — including how to choose your tools and handle the clay — so you can begin with confidence even if you’ve never tried clay flowers before.

Where can I purchase the tools I need?

Cutters and veiners are available in the Ouchihanabiyori shop, which ships both domestically and internationally. Links and purchasing information for other tools are shared within each lesson video.

Can I watch the videos at any time?

Yes — as long as your membership is active, you can watch as many times as you like, whenever it suits you.

What’s the difference between the Rose & Basic Course and the Garden Course?

The Rose & Basic Course focuses on clay flower fundamentals with the rose as the main subject, along with occasional limited-time lessons. The Garden Course includes past limited lessons covering a wider variety of flowers — ideal if you’d like to learn more species.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. YouTube memberships are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. After cancellation, access to members-only content will end at the next billing date.

Can I sell work made using techniques from this course?

Yes — pieces you create based on what you’ve learned are yours to sell. However, please note that redistributing lesson content or using it for teaching purposes is not permitted.

Can I follow the lessons without the original cutters or moulds?

Of course — feel free to use whatever tools you already have. The included paper templates will help you achieve shapes close to the examples, even if you prefer working by hand.

Can these techniques be applied to other flower art forms?

Yes — understanding flower structure and petal shape is useful across many art forms beyond clay. Feel free to adapt what you learn to whichever medium inspires you.

Will I be charged for a full month if I join or cancel mid-month?

Your membership renews on the same date each month from the day you joined — for example, joining on April 10th means your next renewal is May 10th. Cancelling before that date stops the next charge, but you’ll keep access until the renewal date.
